We have the pleasure to announce that composer Serge Côté has just been nominated for a Prix Gémeaux in the category Best Original Music (dramatic) for the dramatic comedy Météo+ - Des silos et des hommes – (produced by Carte Blanche Films).
Also, in the last month, Serge has received a Summit Creative Award and a Telly Award for his music for the TV commercial “Remembrance Day” (produced by Affinity Productions).

Adrian Langley’s feature film Donkey premieres Jan 27th and 28th at the Empire Cinemas in The Rideau Center, Ottawa. The film, which tells the story of a “two-bit thug” looking for love and revenge, had it’s sound edited and mixed at Atomic Audio, and the score was co-composed by Cheif Engineer Howard Sonnenburg. Film times are 7:00 and 9:30 both nights. You can see the trailer, previews and get more information at the website here

Atomic Audio is happy to welcome it’s newest addition Jordan Bell, to the crew. Jordy is a graduate of the Metalworks recording program, and interned here at Atomic after graduation. In addition to freelancing for us, Jordy has also worked for Sound Venture, Mountain Road, and Knight Enterprises. Most recently he was the FX Editor for the Gemini winning “Rollbots” here at Atomic.
Atomic Audio was please to be involved with several Gemini Nominated shows this year. First, our own Serge Cote was nominated for “Best Original Music” for “World of Wonders” (TVO/Genuine Pictures), which Atomic did the audio post for.
He was also nominated for “Best Original Music in an Animated Series” for the YTV/Amberwood show “Rollbots”. Sadly he didn’t take home either award.
However “Rollbots” was also nominated for “Direction in an Animated Series” and won! Congrats to Joey and George on their wins.
Through January, Atomic will continue to do sound effects and Mix for Season Four of “The Secret World Of Benjamin Bear”. The Amberwood animated show follows the adventures of teddy bear, Benjamin Bear and his friends, as they keep their secret world safe from human discovery. The show will air on the Family Channel and Playhouse channels.
